Another enjoyable read in this series. I like Glory and Valdez, but don't really feel a connection with any of the other regular characters. I'll continue reading the series, even though it does have a few shortcomings. For one, I think that, by now, we all get that Glory is not skinny and is self-conscious about it. It tends to get a bit tiresome when that is mentioned in one way or another on what feels like every single page. Secondly, this book introduces a character named Aggie, who (minus the potty-mouth) seems like she came straight out of a MaryJanice Davidson Queen Betsy novel. She's shallow, obnoxious, and seems completely out of place compared to the other characters. Aggie is a means to an end and, truthfully, I hope she doesn't return. The ending is weak, and of course, leaves things unresolved. 3.5 out of 5
