WOW! My exclamation at turning the last page was , "Holy Crap!" Loved the writing style, loved, loved the suspense! Really thot I had figured out who the killer was early in story, and was completely surprised at the ending!
Joey Mullen is a hot-mess, a 27 yo self-proclaimed screwup. She's working at a resort in Ibiza, marries bartender Alfie after a quick romance. They end up moving back to England where they move in with Joey's brother Jack and his wife Rebecca.
Tom Fitzwilliam lives two doors down with wife Nicola and son Freddie. Tom is headmaster at local high school, and women are attracted to him no matter what their age! But Tom has secrets and this builds throughout the story.
Jenna Tripp, 15 yr student at Tom's school, lives nearby with her mentally unstable mom who is always taking pics of Tom and other neighbors. The plot twists and turns when Jenna's BFF Bess has a crush and too many meetings with Tom.
No spoilers here! Read the book, it was fascinating. I'm now looking for other books by Lisa Jewell.
