Lucidly written page-turner... In the near future, the Solar System is under attack from a race of insect-like aliens. The solution: select specially gifted children and train them to defend Earth through simulations in the so-called Battle Room. Six-year-old Ender Wiggin has just been selected, but the training is harrowing and uncompromising. Ender might just be humanity's last hope - if he can survive...
