One of the most infuriating heroines. She is whiny, nosy, self-important, and a know-it-all. The only good thing is that she doesn't think she's smarter than the police. It is surprising she hasn't been written as the stereotypical old neighborhood lady with binoculars sitting in her window watching everyone. She has a boyfriend but strings along a cop apparently because he's handy in her "investigations". Her grandfather is a private detective and she throws a whiny fit and pouts when he won't tell her about his cases. She is such a turn off that I stopped reading after a couple of chapters and skipped to the last two. It's too bad because the story lines are entertaining and interesting and it could be a good series except for this awful heroine. I slogged through five of these (or maybe four and a quarter) and am done.
