I liked the idea behind this novel. I'm really into female empowerment and really going for what you want even if it means hiding your true nature (like becoming a man) to get to your goal.
With that said, this book was what I thought it was going to be and not at the same time. I love dragons and fantasy. And, like before, I love girls dressing up as guys. But this book was ehhh.
I felt confused throughout the book and I felt like this story had so much potential but it just fell short. The dynamics of Eon's story was just bland to me. Yeah, he/she goes through a lot to get where she is but her beginnings weren't really explained and when the book ended, it did not make me want to go up and get the sequel.
