Double Black by Wendy Clinch is a great 1st Novel (hopefully). After a horrible breakup with her finance....Stacey made her way to Vermont to become a SKI BUM...or rather a SKI DIVA as she calls herself. Working at odd jobs, and sleeping in her car becomes tiresome...so when she finds the keys to many of the businesses in town (via a Realtor's keys) she decides to stay in a condo which is one of many in the resort...where not many of them are occupied except on weekends.

It's smooth sailing...getting up a dawn and skiing the slopes everyday, then working at a bar until late in order to have living money....she escapes one nite to a condo...and instead of a nice clean bed, she finds a dead body!! After being completely freaked out and deciding that sleeping in her car was not so bad after all.

Eventually, the mystery is solved...but not until after she has several run ins with many people who are prominent citizens.

This is a very good novel, and I will certainly be looking forward to the next one. Definitely worth the wait to get it!!
