It's another tale-twisting, edge of your seat cliff-hanger by Harlan Coben. In this novel, two brothers who are very close have shared one girlfriend. She winds up dead. The one accused of doing the deed takes off for parts unknown. The other stays with the family and tries to put his life back together. He does a fairly good job of it too, until his latest girlfriend of several years takes off after leaving a one line good-bye note, and his mother dies, confessing to him that his long-lost brother (gone for 10 years now) is still alive.
There are good bad-guys in here--some of which turn out to be good. And there are good guys that wind up being bad. Impossible to find out who's who until the very end.
The story moves very quickly. There's loads of action. THe FBI, helping out the street people and run-aways, and the Witness Protection Program are a part of it, too. A quick but very satisfying (and thought-provoking) story.
