I wanted to like this book more than I did. At first a coming-of-age story about there friends who experience a tragedy together that changes their lives. The story itself is good. The slight problem is in the storytelling. A lot of the action is described as being in a character's head, for example, "Jane Doe thought that she should go to the store. She thought about when she was a kid. She didn't tell anyone what she was thinking." It was just a bit too much for me, but others may enjoy this style. A quick read, and certainly keeps your interest all the way through.
