This is an outstanding story of Historical Christian fiction. Two young women In Arcadia, Canada, An English woman Catherine and a French woman Louise become friends. Both are Protestant Bible reading Christians. Both accept their friendship as a gift of God.Neither realize the consequences of that friendship when the French are driven out of Arcadia. The French are driven out for refusing to bear arms and stripped of land and anything that they can not carry in their hands. Both women lose someone thing that means the most to them. They only have their faith in God to comfort them.

Mankind left to their own devices are totally evil.Only in God can we overcome this evil. Not only are two nationalities of people broken, but two families suffer individually as well. A superb story told by the authors as spun out from history.
