Although I had read many great things about this book, suffice to say I was a little disappointed. It is about a strange love square, and everyone was obnoxiously alright with the screwed up situation. I didn't find it realistic or interesting. I was waiting for a moment I could believe, understand, relate to, or even cringe at. Emotion was a bit lacking. After having just read Music for Torching by A.M. Homes, another book about a suburban couple falling apart, the idea was being played out in my head, however Homes executed her story with significantly more ease.
All that being said, I only read the first short story, and was uninterested enough that I put it down in favor of Aldous Huxley.
