Sabrina Jeffries writes very well-researched books, yet you never feel as if she's jamming the information down your throat.
A young woman, to save her life, is forced into a masquerade. The Forbidden Lord recognizes her nonetheless, and tries to rescue her form the trap. I really liked the heroine--usually I hav trouble relating to women who are so very trapped as a plot device. In this case, it worked very nicely.
