This one made me cry reading it the first time to my son, remembering my beloved dog who grew old with me. Anyone who has lost a favorite pet will appreciate this book, and being able to share it with a child who may be going through the same thing (or will one day experience the loss of a pet). The little boy in the book tells his dog every night "I'll always love you," and after his dog dies, he says the same thing to his new dog. Really sweet story.
