A surprisingly well written book about a man who lost his chance with his own son.

Royce has lost a hand in a welding accident and is at loose ends. His son, now grown, wants nothing to do with him.

He becomes the temporary nanny, or kid-wrangler as he calls it, for the boy upstairs.

Can he save this boy when he couldn't save his own son?
