I'm sorry to say that I'm one of the few that didn't particularly care for this book. I read some of the reviews and the summary and thought I would, but alas I didn't. There was just too much going on in the book. While I understand that in the first book of a series it may be daunting for the author to give the characters a back story while explaining why certain things are happening, this book just had way too much going on. Some of the story was overwhelmingly sexual and teetered on being a bit overrated.

I would have enjoyed this book immensely if it didn't have the story of Jane's father (not really her father) and her aunt (half sister to the father) having sexual relations since they were teens. The ghosts (or orphaned dryads), the fact that the Satyr's had a second penis that came fourth during the full moon. Some of this stuff was just funny. I can go on and on.

The story was okay and I just wish the author would have kept it a little more simple.
