Chase is a fascinating character, however, more so than his heroine who could be described as obedient (with her not-so-great-father) and uncertain, her personality improves the more time she spends with her groom. Chase is dynamic and haunted; he has much to overcome regarding his past. By the middle portion of this book I was enjoying this couple because they had some real emotional breakthroughs, initiated mostly by Zara, yet Chase recognizes and expresses his feelings better. The ending was a bit forced and Zara can be stubborn. Still hero Chase makes this romance worth a read.
