I think this book offers some very intriguing nutritional advice. It takes the approach that fat restriction, especially "healthy fats" is not the way to go and simple carbs/sugar is the true cause of belly fat and flab. I have to agree after reading this again and again from plenty of other sources on the cutting edge of nutrition and weightloss. Somers makes a good case for eating whole foods, unprocessed, unrefined, in their natural state in delicious oringinal recipes. I did, however, find some of the combinations in the daily diet, especially in the first stage of the diet, restrictive and hard to follow in the real world, but nonetheless, effective! You be the judge.
