The Miner's Daughter is a story of poverty set in a Depression-era mining town in West Virginia. The novel chronicles Roosevelt's projects as part of the New Deal and was an interesting and personal look at sixteen-year-old girls life during the hard times of The Great Depression. YA level, very quick read.
