I have to say that I actually enjoyed Outcast quite a bit. It has more of a western feel to it which makes for a very interesting read as it is still set on another planet in the future. Brooks really shows off her interest in world building in this book as she starts to explore more and more how societies function and people connect with each other. Overall I think that this book is a much better read than book 3, Rogue, and is just as good as book 2, warrior.
