My Review
I listened to this on audio and enjoyed the story very much except that the narrator was a bit annoying with her pronunciations which were very stilted. Lucinda Riley is an excellent storyteller and I loved all the locations that the novel takes us to (Lake Geneva, Paris, Rio de Janeiro). This is the first in the series about Maia D'Apliese and her other adopted sisters. They are on a search for their real parentage. The characters are fascinating and you are immediately drawn into their lives. The major storyline is filled with family, sacrifice and love and when the novel reaches the end, it leaves you wanting more. I'm looking forward to the next installment and traveling with the next sister as she searches from her real parents.
