Mismarketed, darker, & inconsistent
Calling the text "short stories for all the letters" is false. Calling them vignettes is generous, even keeping in mind the intended audience of children.
Given that this is marketed as a children's book, the stories are on the darker side - falling to ones death (featured 3x), being eaten by a monster, revenge. The illustrations also are a little bizarre & not my favorite. Full credit though for when he draws paper - that he does an excellent job on!
As for the "short stories" themselves, they are inconsistent. Some tell a story in a fairly normal way, while others are told in rhyme. If he was consistent in his method of delivery I think that would go a ways to improving the book overall. As is, its largely forgettable.
Not worth your time.
