Both of the two novellas are entertaining, light, witty, sexy romances. The men are more than perfect, being gods or immortals, this is to be expected and the women are headstrong, liberal American women - as most of MacAlister's men and women are. This is not heavy reading or great literature. However, if you are looking for cute and quick, this is the book for you. Fans of MacAlister will find much to like in her short works.
Of the two, I have to say I enjoyed the first story, Stag Party, far more than the second one - the god was far more attractive! - but, then, I like funny men.
