Unfortunately, I was not impressed with this book. I love a good ghost story, especially ones based on real events. I am a true believer that these things really do happen but in this instance, I was not a believer. I found that everyone having these "experiences" but never discussing it among each other too weird. The family seemed to be really close, you would think they would talk. Then the author goes through a lot of experiences on day, including finding bones in the yard, but having an lovely evening with her daughter makes her forget all about it. The fact that most of these experiences were the author's and never made aware with the other members of the household is just too odd. The fact that the daughter, at her age, can't remember anything is again.. odd (and convenient). I also didn't like all of the back story on the author. Most of it didn't even matter. If it was meant as characterization, then it didn't work. I felt nothing for these characters.
