This is a very "comfortable" read. You honestly just wanna be stranded at the Lone Star Cafe. The owners are two twin sisters 82 years old and spry for their 82. They bake the best biscuits and make the best jam and coffee. They also have a handsome nephew that comes around to help out and he just happened to be there the day of the terrible storm and Laura is having one of the worst days of her life. Really it couldn't get any worse. Her father is alone and tricking her for her attention, more than what she already gives him. Her job is consuming and stressful, her husband--well--he is gone somewhere for months on end. I loved this read-it was "friends you wish you had in your life when you are finished. Odd little crossroad, but the exact spot for the Lone Star Cafe.
