In the beginning King mentions his desire to come up with something akin to the Lord of the Rings. This book reeks of cheap knock-off. I got maybe 100 or so pages into this book and realized I only had a vague understanding of what was going on, and so decided to put it down permanently. This is only one in a series of King books that I couldn't get into. I just don't get his writing style.
