This book had some graphic violence happen to the main character that was hard to read at times, but overall this was a fun book and fairly well-developed for a first novel. Nathan is generally likeable, although the plotting toward the end of the book gets a little haphazard and the book ends on a serious cliffhanger. Like, literally in the middle of an action sequence. Nevertheless, I liked it enough to read the second book in the trilogy when it's released next year.
