Another great Spenser adventure, this one with a Western US setting. All the usual great Spenser characters and thugs. He touches his bases in L.A. Hawk great as usual as Afr-Amer. colleague to Spenser. A little of shrink girlfriend Susan, not enough. Moves slowly for first 200 pages, flys at the last 90. Great read.
