This 3rd book in the MacKayla Lane series is about change and perserverance. Mac is faced with new threatening challenges that push her vulnrability to the brink of shut down. The ending of this story is really disturbing, but in a series that bases itself on death by sex fae, one can expect something as tramatic to threaten the main character. A necessary evil which reveals itself in the next book of the series Dreamfever.
I thought this book moved a bit slow. I actually put it down and walked away for several weeks before deciding I needed to finish. The push pull relationships between V'lane, Barrons and Mac became stale. Thankfully the story picked up towards the end. Great series, with a driven philosophy that I like.
