I think this is one of Lisa Gardner's best...and she has cranked out some really good books...
In this one, Danielle's family has been murdered. She's the lone survivor. But it appears her details of that night are fuzzy and vague. She's tried to get help to deal with the pain. But it's not working. Then, several years plus a few days before the anniversary of her family tragedy, two families get totally wiped out, too. It turns out that the common thread between these two is that each family contained a "problem" child that was undergoing psychiatric care at the same facility where Danielle is a caretaker.
This was an excellent and quick read. It's a little over 400 pages in paperback, but so hard to put it down that I read it within the week. Be sure to add it to your "Must Read" list!!
