After reading Beastly , I had to get my hands on another Alex Flinn classic storytale retelling. This one did not disappoint! The classic tale of Sleeping Beauty is retold with a modern twist, what Alex Flinn does best. The book follows Jack a teenage boy from modern times who happens on a sleeping castle, and Talia, a 316 year old sleeping princess. The story goes back and forth between Talia and Jacks view and their thoughts. At first, Talia is a spoiled princess, but she quickly comes out of it and learns what she needs to for survival in the present day. Jack is somewhat oblivious at first, but he slowly comes around. While trying to learn more about love, modern technology, and new fashion, Talia also has the pull of the one who placed the curse on her in the first place. She wants Talia back to sleep and she wont stop until she gets her. It is a very, very well written tale. I will gladly read anything Alex Flinn writes! 5 out of 5 stars
