Jack Reacher almost got his ticket punched, twice, in this Lee Childs story. The story is still about Jack Reacher, the man who has no address, no phone number, no luggage, no direction, only the clothes on his back and sometimes a toothbrush, sometimes a disposable razor. He is still a magnet for Trouble, which he can usually set right in a few days or,sometimes, a week. This story is more intricate than his usual and takes him over two weeks to make things right.
It will be interesting to see how Lee Childs, at the end of this series, finally kills off or domesticates his main character. Somehow, I just can't see Jack Reacher disappearing into the sunset. Good read, well done.
