A beautifully written, bittersweet continuation of Gideon and Lonnie's lives as they must deal with the consequences of Gideon's past. Joanne Bischof's writing draws you in so gently, you feel like you're there, sitting on the porch with a cup of tea, waiting to see what happens next. Highly recommend this series to anyone who enjoys historical fiction, especially Janette Oke and Catherine Marshall fans. 4.5 stars!
