Tolstoy does show how he came to believe that Jesus was who He claimed to be. His description of what he thought Jesus was teaching is interesting, though not typical Christian viewpoints. Tolstoy clearly is disgusted with the Russian Orthodox church as it was in his day. An interesting read to follow how Tolstoy does his research and how his brand of logic forms itself.
