When I started out with this one I thought this was going to be an easy 5 star book. For most part it was but after more than halfway through, it seemed like the book was going in circles. Same idea happening but twisted in a different scene. The ending was adequate and left me wanting more but also didn't seem satisfactory enough. Mostly I enjoyed it though. It has elements of fantasy, mystery, romance and cooking. All of them done well and enticing. The food parts were some of my favorites although they made me very hungry. I really like most of the characters too. I was a bit confused about the main character though. I liked her because of her love for cooking and her love for her family but couldn't see why she would stand out as a romantic partner. On the romance side she came off as kind of a jerk and not very loveable. All in all it was a good book and I do look forward to reading the next one.
