Book 3 (the final one) in this series was definitely my favorite of the bunch. Sure, the "suspense" part of the story was quite predictable, and there weren't very many plot twists, but the story was quite entertaining and was laced with enough humor and emotion to keep me interested in finishing the story quickly. The heat level I would rate as mild.

This is Austin's story. Austin is part of the Only in Texas Detective Agency. He feels that his partners (Dallas and Tyler) are not moving quickly enough on the investigation of the man (Rafael DeLuna) who got them sent to prison for 16 months due to a wrongful murder conviction. He decides to move into the apartment next to Rafael's half-sister Leah in an attempt to find her half-brother. The last thing that the "player" Austin expects is to actually fall for Leah. The story reveals a lot about Austin's background and why he became the person he is. I quite liked Austin's character. I really wanted to reach into the book and give him a big hug.
Leah was another great character. She was tough, determined, and quite funny. I loved the scene in the beginning of the story where Austin and Leah literally "run into" each other. It had me laughing out loud, which I did quite frequently throughout the book.
Overall, this is a good series. A nice, light-weight read.
