The Little Critter series is very cute. They often deal with feelings, special occasions, and social issues that many toddlers to early school-age kids face.
This one deals with anger and not getting one's way. It's not pedantic, preachy, or anything. It's just fun for the kids. Plus in most of the books there's a frog and/or mouse and/or spider that the kids can try to find on each page.
