Before my review there was not a single review on PBS, I had to go to Amazon to find some reviews. I read 30 pages waiting at the Doctor's office, and wasn't sure if reading more was a waste of my time. I found some very mixed reviews over on Amazon, which were very helpful in both directions. I read that it was trite, lame, boring, insipid. I read that it was sweet, enduring, a page turner.

I kept reading. I really did feel the book was worth my time. I felt the coming together of the characters and their stories really worked for me. Karen White and Sarah Joi seem to use this style.

I think you can read the plot outline. The two side characters, Paul and Derrick have been slow to open their Bed and Breakfast, mainly due to perfectionism and fear of failure. They end up breaking a law, and have to do some community service which was enduring to see the outcome of their attempts to help in the community.

So the guy plan a huge grand opening and invite a huge bunch of celebrities and food critics. You have to read it to see which ones do show up.

I really did enjoy this book. I passed the 100 page read it or pass it along test, but 30 pages was not enough to know if you want to keep reading. Keep reading.
