It's a quick read, entertaining altho it's hard to find the lead terribly likable. Pitiable is more accurate. Perhaps this was Doolittle's aim. Perhaps I was reading too fast, I sometimes found it hard to keep up with who was who and who was doing what. The generic last names he selected may have made this more difficult. All in all, an enjoyable book, but not one destined for the top of the NYT fiction list.
