Classic Krentz. The hero is a bit dominating (especially in the beginning) but this is closer to her 90's work then a lot of her 80's writing. The heroine is intelligent, tough, and lovely and he desperately wants to be with her to get some of that sweetness in his own life. A feminist manifesto it ain't but it's short, sweet, and as close to her book "Scandal" (written under her Amanda Quick pseudonym) as a book completely different in place, time, and length can be.
