I really started just loving this book, Jane and her twins, and her village and her friends are amazingly fun. There is the mysterious death of a clothed Lady Godiva, and then the murder at Murder and Mayhem week, that are connected of course. So the mystery is good. THEN bam the author throws in the most amazing twist to the plot, that I loved. Then I felt like the mystery fizzled, and we find out who the culprit is, and we still have 20 more pages of winding it up.

This is the same author who writes the Charmed Pie shop mysteries, and after the 3rd pie book, I couldnt buy into the authors fantasy world. I am afraid this series will going to jump the shark with its fantasy element, which so far I love and find believable.

I think most of the cozy mystery readers will love this first book, as it is chocked full of fun characters who attend a costume ball. Lots of mystery reference and name dropping. Very fun.
