You don't get a chance to know Miranda before she changes but it seems strange that she accepts her new (ridiculous) situation without protest. As a matter of fact, she revels in it. Miranda has had a complete personality shift and is now a bizarre, brutal royal vampire. On the other hand, you go in depth with her guardian angel, Zachary and his mission to save Miranda's soul.
It sounds like it should be interesting but it's rather boring and I didn't feel anything but disgust for Miranda. I definitely will not be reading a sequel to this series.
