Do not be misled like I was...this book has very little to do with Paris or even love really; unless it is the self-love of Marton. I will say the book kept me reading and was honest and candid. The affairs, the love, and the loss play a secondary role to the name dropping. I have always loved the city of Paris and long to spend a month there in my golden years...this book did nothing to foster that dream. I am giving it a 2 star simply because I was able to finish it.
My rating system is as follows:
5 stars - Excellent, Worth Every Penny, Made It Into My Personal Library!
4 stars - Great book, but not a classic.
3 stars - Good overall, generally well written.
2 stars - Would not recommend based on personal criteria.
1 star - Difficult to read, hard to finish, or didn't finish. Wouldn't recommend purchasing or reading.
