It's okay, the fantasy is well thought out, but not inspired. The characters are flat and the attraction between the two main characters seems more a product of the one's naivete and the other's loneliness and less about true love. This isn't helped by the immaturity of both characters. The dialogue can be stilted which drives me absolutely mad and the plot and characterization don't propel the reader to want to keep reading. I hate to say it, because I think this author is a friend of Kresley Cole, but this is a forgettable book. I'll not proceed to the second book in the series.
