Another enjoyable installment of the Detective Michael Bennett thriller series. A good read, written in a familiar way. As always, Bennett is hard charging and doesn't let anyone slow him down or get in his way.
He catches multiple killers and holds them to account for their murders.
If there was one thing that bugged me a little bit about this read, it was that all of a sudden, Bennett is being harassed by the mayor's office...but in the Bennett book right before this one, he saved the mayor's daughter and worked closely with the mayor's office.
Book 13 seems to forget what happened in Book 12 of this series. Bennett, a straight forward NYer, would have addressed this head on with the mayor, rather than deal with an annoying turd like Macy.
Nonetheless enjoyable as a stand-alone read.
