"What sort of girl are you looking for?" Lady Theo asked her trusted business manager.
There was a moment's silence. "Would you truly likie to know?" he asked. The intensity in his voice made her look around at him.
"Yes, I would. Truly."
He got up and took a few restless strides across the room and back. Standing behind her, he asked again, "You're quite sure you want to know?"
She turned and looked up at him, puzzled. "Yes, of course."
"Well, then," he said, fixing his eyes on her face, "I'm looking for a girl as much like you as I can find."
Review: Good book but Mansfield is not one of my favorite Regency authors. Many other people seem to love her books, though.
