Kissed by a Vampire by Caridad Pineiro
The Calling/The Reborn Vampire Novel Series
Alex Garcia is a DEA undercover agent. After a job in New York gone wrong, he almost died there and it left him with odd nightmares of a beautiful woman who also had the face of a demon. Just as he gets the okay to go back to work in Miami, Dan McAnn, a former agent, calls to ask Alex to find his missing daughter, Andrea. What he didnt expect was to see the woman from his dreams a while he searched for the missing woman.

Stacia is a two thousand year old vampire elder, very powerful and very lonely. So many of her fellow vampires in New York were finding love that she decided to escape to Miami. Stacia didnt believe herself capable of loving someone let alone of having any humanity left in her. All that changes when she meets the man whos life she saved a year ago. A man who puts duty above all compared to herself who lives only for her own needs.

There are quite a few books within this series and this book hints to things that happened in a previous book, Darkness Calls, but it is still stand alone. If you enjoy series than you may want to read the previous books in order to know the whole story. A unique vampire tale on how love can revive a dead heart and change can come no matter how old you are.even if you are two thousand years old.
