This was an excellent book and becomes a little less confusing after reading a few chapters of Midnight Sun(told from Edward's point of view). The "older crowd" or younger kids probably have trouble relating to a high-school girl. The "young-at-heart" and teenagers themselves will enjoy this book. It is well written and caused my vocabulary to extend a great deal. Considering that this woman had no intentions of the book ever becoming published or even read by many people, it has been very successful. It is my recommendation to begin the series in junior high (7-8 grade) at the least. The intensity of the the relationship was unclear to me until I read New Moon and the beginning of Midnight Sun- I didn't have the foggiest idea how strongly Edward felt about Bella. This is a must read!
