Very good. Cassie is a firefighter. 10 years earlier, on her 16th birthday, her mom left her dad and moved across the country leaving Cassie with her dad. That night another tragic event occurred and these things forced Cassie to close off her heart and build a wall around her emotions. She threw herself into her job and became a great firefighter. But now her mom is ill and she moves from TX to MA to help her. They find their way to a new relationship. And Cassie also falls for another firefighter, Owen, and has to learn how to take down the walls, open her heart, forgive and love. Katherine Center writes great characters and does a great job of exploring emotions in a very moving way.
