This is a story of a plump teenager who is "out of step" with everything. She meets and falls for a musician. Their relationship is the core of the novel. It is a penetrationg look at the way two people can come together and love each other without even really knowing and understanding each other.
The author is a very perceptive writer and she gives us a "brids-eye-view" into the world of a teenage girl....which at times can be a little disturbing! A well written and quick read!
