Jacob grows up with his grandfather telling him 'fairy stories' and showing him 'fake' snapshots of fantastical persons...an invisible boy, a flying girl, a boy who has bees living inside him.

He is the child of wealthy parents and who has a special bond with his grandfather. As a child, the grandfather used to tell him wild and mysterious tales of special children he used to know, children who had special abilities. When his grandfather dies under circumstances that can't be explained, Jacob goes on a mission to find out what his grandfather's dying words were about. His search leads him to a remote island off of the U.K. where he finds a rotting mansion and strange happenings.

Don't want to say too much more...

I had marked the book for my wish list. I couldn't wait so ordered it. Recieved the book and, although it's over 350pgs, I read it in 2 days. One of the most interesting books I have ever read.

I will keep this one for my library, sorry, but I think for those waiting you should just buy it. Fantastic book... Maybe my daughters will pick it up one day, they too love a good book.

Amazon has good prices as well as http://www.abebooks.com/

Happy reading!!

The sequel will be out next June 11 2014.
