This book is a series of poems. I love using this in my classroom. The kids use the same poem form to write poems about their own topics.
here's an example:
"The important thing about the California Missions is they are in California.
There were 21 from San Diego to San Rafael.
They made the native Californians do the work.
They had a church and farm animals.
They were located a day's walk from each other.
But the important thing about the California Missions is they are in California."
